Fun.com is looking for true masters of the Internet to help develop our brands. Our SEO Specialists spend their days creating high quality content and hunt across the web to build relationships that feature our expertise in costumes and showcase our unique costume and licensed T-shirt product lines. We can do this by writing blog posts, infographics and other posts about movies, music, books, games, video games, toys and much, much more. We are looking for a creative, resourceful, humorous, driven and strategic individual to fill this role.

Are you the kind of person who likes to spend all weekend on Pinterest, Cracked, Geekologie, Netflix and Reddit? Are you familiar with Matt Cutts hand movements? Have an all too unfortunate familiarity with Rand Fishkin? Have you ever scoured a website to find the email address for a real human being instead of filling out a Contact Us form? This position can be based out of either the Mankato office of Fun.com or the Burnsville office of Fun.com, whichever is more convenient for the applicant.

Job duties and responsibilities:
Creating relevant, pitchable content. In the world of Internet Marketing, content is king and you shall help us rule from the Iron Thone. (By the way, if you didnt get that reference, youre probably not who were looking for.)
Pitching article ideas/brainstorming relationship-building techniques to 10+ new sites/niches per day
Work on a quota system to build more earned links for the various Fun.com brands
Work closely with other departments to emphasize certain products and capitalize on current or future trends
Work on contests and giveaways to drive more traffic to HalloweenCostumes.com, Shirts.com and Fun.com
Utilize applicable web metrics to garner quality links and best content for Fun.com and its websites
Other duties as assigned

Basic qualifications:
Superlative writing ability, with the ability to change writing style depending on the situation
Able to write original content quickly
Ridiculous amounts of pop-cultural and geeky knowledge, both broad and specialized
High degree of knowledge in Mozilla Firefox and general web browser usage
Highly adaptive to changes in work processes
Well-versed in social media usage
Able to work on several projects at any one time
Ability to prioritize aforementioned several projects
Always on top of major Internet, television, movie, fashion trends

Preferred qualifications:
B.S./B.A. in English, Creative Writing, Marketing, Communications, or other writing-intensive discipline
Knowledge of relevant white hat SEO tactics
Google Analytics certification; North Mankato, Minnesota, United States; User's other ads
