Seeking Director of Sales and Marketing - LSDSM

Our Client Company has been an industry leader in environmental controls for over 30 years and, more than ever, is applying this knowledge in innovative ways that showcase their strength. Please submit your updated resume if you believe you may have the qualifications and experience I am seeking to fulfill their Director of Sales and Marketing position in Barkhamsted, CT. The compensation is a base of 80K 90K dollars + commission, for a combined annual salary of 120K 130K dollars.

The Director of Sales and Marketing plans and implements sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing markets. This entails conducting forecast activities to achieve corporate objectives for products and services, and the development and management of sales/marketing operating budgets. Importantly, the Director of Sales and Marketing plans and oversees all advertising and promotion activities, including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail. This individual also develops and recommends product positioning, packaging and pricing strategy in order to produce the highest possible, long-term market share.

Requirements:
(Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered.)

Bachelors Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business (preferred)
Minimum of five years related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities
Knowledge of HVAC and Retro lighting markets (a must!)
Knowledge of government contracts (a plus!)
Demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles
Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills for interacting effectively with co-management, internal and external customers
