Owned by the Hartford Courant, the ReminderNews has been in continuous publication for 65 years. It is a brand that is well recognized and respected.

Responsibilities:

Sell advertising space by providing information and service to current and potential advertisers, convincing them to advertise in the ReminderNews digital, "r-news", and Gold pages, overcoming objections and closing sales. Consistently meet or exceed revenue and other goals.
As a member of the Advertising team, provide support to the department as a whole and to other departments (such as Credit Accounting) to assure overall success of the Advertising Department. Communicate with Advertising Supervisor or managers to keep them informed of activity in the assigned territory or classification.
Provide information and consultation services to advertisers based on knowledge of the market, ReminderNews Courant product lines and Courant processes and procedures to assure success of the businesses, thereby increasing lineage revenues.
Perform various additional duties such as laying out or designing ads, researching complaints or requests for credit when and if required.

Qualifications:
Requirements include:

Reliable transportation
1-3 years of prior sales or client service experience
Digital Marketing or Advertising experience a plus
A goal orientated and entrepreneurial spirit
