Description

Here is the classic 1957 Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins Hollowbody as used by Chet Atkins and countless rockabilly guys including Eddie Cochran and of course the twang of Duane Eddy came from these killer DeArmond pickups...all original guitar with the possible exception of tuning machines, they seem to have been off once then replaced with originals, this was before my time, no drilling of headstock only professionally doweled screwholes showing .....all original finish and parts including the white cowboy case in great shape with all latches etc working fine.....1957 was the rare year with the humpblock inlays of course, also these came with brass or aluminum nuts, you can look it up, i didnt think so at first either.....no binding problems! ever! frets seem to be original spec size, but this guitar shows wear on the back of the neck as if it got regular use, so I cant swear the frets to be original, but if theyve been replaced it was done by an incredible pro, i think they are stock.......great Gretsch orange with some curl and birdseye in places.....great sounding and playing rig, and clean enough for the collector complete with the case.
