Purchased in 1989 in pristine condition. This guitar was played by my Uncle Jack Greene, "The Jolly Green Giant" (January 7, 1930 – March 14, 2013) when he would come to Georgia for family visits. He was a member of the Grand Ole Opry until his death in 2013. He was a three-time Grammy Award nominee, best known for his 1966 hit, "There Goes My Everything". In 1967 the song remained at the top of the Country charts for 2 months.and earned him "Male Vocalist of the Year", "Single of the Year", "Album of the Year" and "Song of the Year" honors from the Country Music Association.He had a total of five No. 1 country hits and three others that reached the top ten. Billboard magazine named him one of the Top 100 "Most Played Artists".
