Extremely rare 3" x 14 " 1905 Duplex, nickel,snare drum with 20 lugs per side. This drum has calf heads top and bottom and comes with the original wood case with brass corners and supports. Also, included is the original bag that the drum is packed into before it goes into the wood case.The hoops that came with the drum are recessed onto the drum letting the bering edges of the snare to be raised above. Therefore, the rim shot is actually played on the bearing edge, not the hoop itself. The look is also unique in that it looks more like a banjo that of a snare drum. The drum is in fair to good condition for it's age but is still a great collectors item.The snare strainer is ambiguous but works.
