Description

Up for sale are Rogers LS3/5a speakers in good condition, I would rate them as 8/10. There are some scratches and marks coming from regular use. Most of scratches and marks are at the back and bottom of boxes, but the sides are also marked with couples of imperfections. I've opened both boxes to show the internal too, so please study carefully all pictures, you'll get them in the same condition as pictured. Bear in mind all photographs were made with lots of mixed daylight / artificial light, so the color may vary up to 25%.
Having had one owner from new these came to us in the eighties through an estate.
Being a real icon of BBC history these are excellent in both, the imaging and the sound character, as very transparent and detailed. None of the parts had ever been replaced, all drivers are in good condition with no sign of any technical issues. This pair is for sure one of the best I've ever heard. We carefully tested the speakers with our studio equipment prior to advertising them on e bay.
According to the back label this pair is a very early one, calibrated by Richard Ross (later one of Rogers Directors). The very first Inspection and Testing Record from 1976 will be enclosed too (picture No 1, in front of the cartoon box), included in the sale is the original Rogers Adv. Flyer too. All paperwork will be included in the sale.
