Description

Collins 55G1 Preselector tuner for the 51S1 receiver, with original manual and power cord.

Condition: Cosmetic - Original condition. The condition is nothing short of outstanding and as nearly Collins Collector Association (CCA) "Mint", as one could find. Certainly its well above "Excellent", but I will leave it to you to examine the pictures carefully and decide for yourself.If it is not perfect, its as close to it as you could get for one of these.

Condition: Operation - This one is tested and works as it should with no known issues. There's not much to go wrong with these.

Comments: Introduced in 1967, this unit at serial no. 135 was likely produced early-mid 1968 (has Dec '66 3rd edition manual dated May '68). Altogether there were maybe up to 200 of these that were badged with the winged emblem before Collins switched to round emblem in '69. Total production was around 1000 for both. Who knows how many winged badged units survived, and in this condition, probably only a few exist today. Accordingly, they are scarce so if you have been looking for, or considering one of these, now is the time.
