This “heavy weight” is an extremely well built clone of the legendary Vermont Casting Defiant which is arguably one of the largest, most famous and well sought after non-catalytic wood stoves there is. [Y-53333 and safety tested + approved C-108] This is a well-made classic all cast iron unit that measures 31.5" H x 36" W x 24" D {including the shield and ash lip} which makes it their largest stove and one of their most efficient. This stove needs some “TLC” but is fully structural and without any safety flaws. Includes the rear and lower heat shields! It weighs in at more than 400lbs as it is made of high density cast iron. A large top surface area provides plenty of room for steaming and cooking. Both side and front loading feature with the side control that engages the renowned high efficiency long burn mode {12 HR. burn time}. This together with the automatic damper on the rear results in 45,000 btu/hr and will easily take 20" + logs. Includes the dedicated 8" vertical flue collar and both optional heat shields.
